Nigerians can’t Spot Nigeria on the Map of Africa! | Watch on Battabox

It’s not even funny any more! We laugh at the funny videos on PulseTV where people can’t spell words. We find it funny when Chuey Chu on PulseTV on Instagram goes about recording people who can’t say certain words in English. But… the reality of Nigerians, as seen in this latest video on Battabox TV is NOT funny!

The education system in Nigeria has gone to the dogs! How on earth is it that Nigerians are unable to spot Nigeria in a map of Africa? What is going on in primary schools – basic primary schools? We are not even

talking about the fancy pants schools where they go on excursion to Paris and study the Louvre. What is happening at the grassroots level of education in Nigeria?

We need to start paying more attention to basic education. Yes! All of us. Spend an hour with a child today and teach them some Math, Geography, English. Teach them deductive reasoning and inductive logic. This doesn’t stop at the government level – even though the bulk of it lies with them (policy makers and directors… what are you doing in Office?) We need institutions, families, religious bodies… everybody… ALL HANDS ON DECK!

Honestly, we need a complete re-evaluation of our system at every level! This is just so sad and appalling.
